Student Artwork Accepted into NJPAC

Congratulations to two of our  WRS students whose artworks were accepted to be displayed at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center.  This is a special honor as hundreds of artworks are submitted across the state and only thirty are chosen to be displayed for all visitors to see over the next few months.  Both artists attended a reception where they received a medal and certificate.  Way to go!

Joanna's self portrait was inspired by Pablo Picasso and the style of art called Cubism. She  used tempera cakes, sharpies, and oil pastels to create this artwork.

Luisa's artwork was a zoomed in view of a special object she brought in from home.  She was inspired by artist Georgia O'Keeffe.
