Kindergarten CAP Torn Paper Collage

The cap program is a great way for kindergarteners to expand on the day to day curriculum with more materials exploration .  The first unit for kindergarten is collage and our cap students have taken it a step further with still not being able to use scissors (that will come later on)!  We became inspired by a classic It Looks Like Spilt Milk,  and discussed how when we look at art we all see things differently and how that is the best part about it!  As we started to tear paper we thought what our shapes could become.  Some artists created necks for their pets with a torn rectangular shape while others were more excited about creating an interesting design.
